Infallible Guild Charter
All guild members and applicants are expected to read and understand this charter. The guild will operate under these guidelines, so all members of Infallible should be aware of its contents.
Biography
Infallible was formed shortly after The Burning Crusade was released. Its initial core of players split off from The First Fleet, a solid guild with which we remain on good terms. Several months after the guild was formed we merged with Climax which was a spin off of Catalyst.
Since the guild was formed, Infallible has grown immensely in both size and accomplishment. The guild first began raiding in early 2007 and has enjoyed a multitude of boss kills in end-game content. We are primarily a raiding guild but with plenty of opportunity to enjoy other aspects of the game. The guild maintains a casual and friendly atmosphere, minimizing pressure and making the game more enjoyable for all of our members.
Guild Masters and Officers are always available to help our members with in-game problems, guild issues/questions/information, and are always working to provide the best environment possible for our raiders.
Objectives
Infallible is a raiding guild - nothing more, nothing less.
As such, our objectives are:
• Put plainly, we want to be the best group of 25 that we can possibly be.
• To progress through normal and hard mode content as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• To have fun. You know how you have fun? You kill bosses without wiping a million times.
Code of Conduct
Our code of conduct is simple. Respect your officers, respect your fellow raiders, and don't cause problems. Follow these rules, and you'll be just fine.
Raiding
To raid with us you must have the following:
• Ventrilo (separate voice chat application)
• Ora2 (or equivalent)
• Deadly Boss Mods (or equivalent)
• Class specific add-ons (Pally Power for example)
Links to required applications/add-ons can generally be found in the guild forums.
Join your individual class channel before beginning a raid. Ask your officer for more information.
The officers decide who will be attending raids. It is expected that you give them as much notice as possible for scheduling conflicts. We know things happen outside of WoW that take precedence over raids, so just let us know.
General Raiding Rules
• Know your character, his/her abilities and limits.
• Obey your raid leader, GMs and officers.
• Do not flood chat or Vent with chatter during boss fights or new content. Do this (unless you are Arugaris with the Rhubarb Pie recipe) and you'll be muted/ignored/etc. Just don't.
• Be repaired and prepared to raid. Don't count on someone to drop a Jeeves for you 3 wipes into working on a new boss.
• Always let your Class Master or the Raid Leader know before you go AFK.
• All Raiders that begin a raid are expected to stay until the scheduled finish time unless other arrangements have been made.
To put it plainly, your job as a raider is to show up and fill your role to the best of your ability. If you suck, you will be replaced. If you don't show up or are frequently late, you will be replaced. The idea here is we aren't trying to "take your spot" or "give your spot away" - the position goes to whoever deserves it most. They are yours to be earned.
Loot Distribution
Infallible distributes loot through it's officers. A piece of loot will drop - raiders then link in raid chat the piece of gear they are currently using that would be replaced with the new item. After this takes place, the officers will look at who all linked, and after taking into consideration how many pieces of loot that raider has gotten (all loot is recorded in the Raid forums), as well as other factors such as attendance/etc., the officers will vote on who should get the piece of gear.
For example. A pair of shiny new Plate DPS boots drop. Jimmy the Ret Pally and Sammy the MS Warrior both link. Jimmy shows up on a regular basis and does much better dps than Sammy, and has taken the same amount of loot - therefore, the officers will vote for Jimmy. Pretty easy to understand.
Leaves of Absence
Please let your officer know if you will need to be away from the game for any period of time. This is what the Notification forum is for - use it.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask any officer or GM privately or in the forums.
